Mission Statement

The mission of the Heart Disease Research Institute (HDRI) is to provide research grants, medical equipment, and supplies to hospitals.  HDRI also provides educational materials about heart disease to patients and families.  Curing begins with a caring heart!

Programs & Activities

The programs and activities of HDRI are directed at the following main cause initiatives:

  • To support ongoing projects that have as their objective, research focused on the early detection, prevention, and the treatment of cardiovascular disease and strokes.  HDRI through its medical advisory committee will evaluate ongoing research programs in order to determine the best possible use of funds provided to organizations conducting heart disease research.  Our commitment to funding research projects is centered on providing information learned in the research lab to the general public and practitioners.

  • To provide the general public with information sources that will make them more aware of the present methodologies and programs available to help prevent, treat, and control heart disease and other related degenerative diseases.  HDRI will endeavor to develop an informational educational program that will be available to the general public and provide educational materials, free of charge, to adults and other organizations having like purposes relating to health and research issues.

  • Programs and services of HDRI will also encompass acquiring and placing much needed medical supplies and equipment in hospitals and clinics that treat heart disease and related illnesses affecting both children and adults.  As a result, the clinics and hospitals will be able to provide a much more cost-effective program for the patient and their family coping with heart disease-related issues.  In addition, HDRI will pursue programs that provide financial assistance through support groups so that families affected by life-threatening diseases may have available life saving information and medical supplies.  Working with support groups for a heart disease patient is a vital part of a patient's treatment and rehabilitation.  Our efforts will be directed at helping to make these support groups available by supporting organizations and programs that provide them.
